5. Kayak trip to the Pantà de la Baells

During the kayak tour of the swamp you will see the monastery of Sant Salvador de la Vedella, a survivor. One of the main natural riches of the area is the Baells reservoir. It was built in 1973 with the aim of collecting water from the Llobregat river and the Vilada stream to supply Barcelona and its metropolitan area. The best way to visit it is by sailing: rent a kayak, tie your life jackets and in the water. Kids will enjoy learning to paddle and speed racing with other kayaks.

Another option is to rent a scooter and take advantage of the heat to jump down the turquoise waters. And it is that swimming is also allowed. And a curiosity that will surprise children: in the middle of the swamp you will see the monastery of Sant Salvador de la Vedella, the only one left of the old village with the same name that was flooded by the waters of the reservoir.
